I. Working Principle of Air Filters
Air filters are usually installed at the front end of the engine's intake pipe. When air is drawn into the engine while the vehicle is in motion, the filter removes impurities such as dust, sand particles and insects from the air through materials like filter paper, sponge or non-woven fabric, allowing only clean air to enter the cylinder to participate in combustion. This not only improves the fuel combustion efficiency but also reduces the wear inside the engine.
Ii. Usage Method of Air Filter
Frequency recommendation: Check every 5,000 kilometers or so. The specific frequency depends on the vehicle's usage environment (more frequent is required in areas with more sand and dust).
Inspection method: Open the engine compartment, remove the air filter, and observe whether the filter element has obviously turned black, accumulated dust or impurities.
Disposable paper filter element: It is recommended to replace it every 10,000 to 15,000 kilometers. It cannot be washed and reused.
Washable filter elements (such as high-performance modified filter elements) : They can be thoroughly cleaned with a dedicated cleaning agent and dried before reuse. Generally, they should be cleaned once every 5,000 kilometers.
Open the cover of the air filter box (usually fixed by a snap or screw);
Remove the old filter element and clean the dust and debris inside the filter housing.
Replace the filter element with a new one or install it after cleaning.
Close the filter cover plate again and fix it in place.

Do not install before the filter element is completely dry.
Make sure the filter element is placed in the correct direction and there is no air leakage in the seal.
Do not use inferior filter elements to prevent engine damage caused by poor filtration effect.
