Learn in one minute: What are the differences among the four types of car filters?

In automotive parts, the oil filter, air filter, air conditioning filter, and fuel (gasoline/diesel) filter are collectively referred to as the four filters
Filters, mainly responsible for filtering impurities, serve the lubrication system, intake system, air conditioning system and fuel supply system respectively.
Oil filter
Function: Filter impurities contained in lubricating oil and keep the oil clean.
- Service life: Regular replacement is required after driving 5,000 to 10,000 kilometers, each time along with the lubricating oil.
- What are the impacts: The quality and working condition of the oil filter determine the cleanliness of the oil. Failure to replace it regularly or poor quality of the filter can indirectly lead to excessive mechanical wear.
Air filter
Function: Filter dust from the air and keep the intake system clean.
- Service cycle: The replacement cycle is determined by the dusty environment and location. Generally, it should be replaced every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers of driving.
- What are the impacts: Blockage can lead to increased fuel consumption, insufficient power, and also indirectly cause excessive mechanical wear.
Air conditioning filter
- Classification: Common filter paper, carbon ions, activated carbon, etc.
- Function: Filter impurities and dust in the air intake of the air conditioning system and improve the air quality inside the vehicle.
- Service life: The replacement cycle depends on the region, environment and mileage. Generally, it should be replaced every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers.
- What are the impacts: The air quality inside the driver's cabin, due to insufficient air passage, affects the heating and cooling quality of the air conditioner.
Fuel filter
Function: Filter impurities contained in the fuel, keep the fuel clean, ensure the smoothness of the fuel passage, and meet the fuel pressure requirements
- Service life: It is divided into two models: built-in and external fuel tank. Generally, the built-in filter should be replaced every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers, and the built-in filter every 50,000 to 60,000 kilometers. There is no time limit requirement either.
- What are the impacts: Insufficient fuel pressure, insufficient engine power, difficult starting, and increased fuel consumption.
