For vehicle owners living in humid climates, simply replacing cabin filters regularly is not enough. Scientific daily maintenance can effectively avoid filter damp failure, extend service life, and maintain fresh cabin air quality. Reasonable operation habits are crucial to protecting the air conditioning system in rainy and humid seasons.

First of all, avoid long-term use of internal circulation mode in humid weather. Long-time internal circulation causes moisture accumulation inside the closed cabin. Water vapor cannot be discharged in time and will continuously adhere to the filter surface. It is recommended to switch to fresh air mode for 5 to 10 minutes before turning off the engine every day to discharge accumulated moisture inside the pipeline and filter.

Secondly, do not turn off the air conditioner immediately after arriving at the destination. In humid weather, the evaporator produces a large amount of condensed water during operation. If the AC is turned off directly, residual moisture will stay on the filter and pipeline. In addition, regular visual inspection is necessary. After continuous rainy days or heavy fog weather, check the cabin filter state in time. Once dampness, dark spots, or slight odor are found, clean or replace it immediately to prevent mildew spread.
